FOREVERLAND

A two minute thirty second commercial for a theme park you should never visit.

Inspiration

FOREVERLAND started as a concept experiment before AI video was capable of delivering the tone. I began sketching it in late 2024, when early generators were still too unstable to hold a coherent commercial style. As newer models matured, I realized I could finally fuse the fragments and tests I had accumulated into a single unified piece.

The creative spark came from the uncanny theme park dread in the broader “Liminal Land” orbit associated with Nexpo and Nick Crowley, as a tonal reference point. FOREVERLAND leans into that tension between consumer nostalgia and existential unease, then pushes it into its own ad language: bright, reassuring, and quietly predatory underneath.

What I Learned

I learned how to structure an AI commercial like a production pipeline under failure conditions. I learned how to keep continuity when different systems interpret style in conflicting ways. I learned how to lock the ad cadence, maintain brand-like consistency, and still preserve the dread underneath.

How I Built It

This was assembled as a mash-up workflow. I generated and iterated across sponsor tools, then stitched the survivors into a single “corporate ad” illusion. Story beats were planned tightly, shots were reworked until they matched the tone, and the final sequence was constructed to feel intentionally polished while the world itself feels wrong.

Challenges

The hardest problem was balance: it needed to read like a real commercial while never becoming wholesome. Early versions suffered from unstable motion and unintentional morphing, and even later generations often tried to “fix” the creepiness. The final cut only works because the cheer and the horror are forced to coexist in the same frame language.
