Inspiration
Over the past few years, our summers in Washington State had been greatly affected by the wildfires. In my case, instead of being outside playing soccer, I had to stay indoors.
What it does
Our website educates people about wildfires and wildfire safety through a quiz.
How we built it
We gave each other roles. Some people would actually build the website, some people would create the graphics and the presentation, and others would research and create the questions and answers for the quiz.
Challenges we ran into
We only had one person who could code, and none of us knew how to create a website initially.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to make a working website with a working quiz, and we made very nice graphics.
What we learned
Some of us learned how to create a website through HTML, CSS and JS, whilst we all learned a lot about wildfires through our research.
What's next for ForestFireSafe: Mitigating the Blaze
More consistent formatting and color palettes for the website and a wider variety of features of education.
