Foresight is an AI driven geopolitical risk intelligence platform designed to provide financial institutions with a critical time advantage. Its purpose is to automate the detection of market moving events buried within overwhelming global data streams, translating faint signals into actionable financial alpha before the market consensus forms. Our users, such as hedge fund analysts and traders, are currently forced to manually sift through immense noise, making their process slow and inefficient. Foresight solves this by acting as a sentient intelligence agent that finds the crucial whispers for them.

Our technical approach utilises a two stage cloud native system. A "Discovery Engine" constantly ingests and polls thousands of niche global sources (local news, shipping manifests, government reports). When a potential event is flagged, it triggers the "Analysis Engine," which is powered exclusively by the Perplexity API. This is where the core intelligence generation occurs.

We leverage the Perplexity API for both its advanced retrieval and reasoning capabilities. First, we use the sonar pro model for its powerful, real-time retrieval to perform an "AI Triage" on incoming data. This allows us to instantly filter irrelevant noise and verify a signal's importance with cited, up to the minute web context. For verified signals, we then employ the Grounded LLM for its sophisticated reasoning. It is tasked with acting as a geopolitical analyst, synthesising the initial event with its vast knowledge base of financial reports and historical precedents.

The impact is transformative. Perplexity's retrieval finds the needle in the haystack with superhuman speed. Its reasoning capability then crafts that needle into a key, a concise, fully cited "Alpha Briefing" detailing first order impacts, second order corporate risks, and non obvious trading opportunities. Ultimately, Foresight converts global perplexity into actionable clarity, delivering a decisive head start.
