Fork Forward is where Surplus food finds purpose and hearts find hope. Through its seamless service, restaurants, cafes can donate leftover meals, which the app connects with people and organization in need, turning What would be waste into smiles,warhead and community. How we built it

Fork Forward was created with the goal of reducing food waste and spreading compassion. Our team started by understanding the Challenges faced by both food providers and people in need. We designed a user-friendly platform that makes donating and receiving Surplus food simple, safe and efficient. Using real time tracking, smart matching and community - driven features, the app ensures meals reach the right hands at the right time. Every feature was created with care,sustainability, and social impact in mind, turning a tech idea into a tool that fed people, not landfills.

Challenges we ran into

Building Fork Forward was not without hurdles. Ensuring food safety and hygiene was a top priority. Coordinating timely pickups and deliveries tested our logistics. Encouraging restaurants to donate consistently took effort. Matching Surplus food with those in need required smart solutions. Raising awareness about food waste was essential for community support.
