I was always inspired by virtual reality and how rapid the field was expanding with its innovation and amazing ideas. I always wanted to someday contribute to virtual reality myself, so I made this:
I am most proud of the gauntlet's ability to create a lock-like effect that would replicate the fact that it takes into account collision and prevents people's arms or swords going through walls or solid objects by replicating actual real-life physic
Used a motor (with rope tethered to arm) controlled by the Arduino to make a virtual reality wearable that allows the wearer to experience physical forces. Whenever the user moves / swings his arm in the VR game and a hit is detected, the Arduino recieves that information and pulls on the arm with the motor tethered to arm, creating a locking effect and imitation of a physical force.
This kind of creation and future advancements of it has the possibility to make sword combat or any combat in general doable and can unleash a whole new generation of VR games.
