Inspiration
In times of emergency or need, the hassle to get an appointment causes lots of frustration among users. Maybe the call line is busy, no slot is available and people may be unaware of others hospitals nearby them. This causes a state of desperation and helplessness. With the aim to tackle this problem,Veersa Health - a Web application is developed that caters to your needs.
What it does
Veersa Health offers full transparency to the users and gives people the peace of mind they need in critical times. With the ability to book appointments online 24/7, it’s easy to browse available times slots and book there as per convenience. The Doctors registered are reviewed and a rating is generated to gain user trust. The website supports vernacular languages and has a user-friendly interface that attracts users.
How we built it
FrontEnd: HTML CSS JavaScript BackEnd: Flask Python DataBase: SqLite
Challenges we ran into
- To integrate the doctor and patient dashboards.
- Applying the backend.
- Deployment on heroku, it was not supporting the numpy wheel for Python 3.10 version, we tried to deploy it on the firebase but we again failed then finally with some modifications in the requirements.txt we were able to successfully deploy our application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are able to make the complete front-end and build an application For You -Veersa Health and we deployed our application on heroku.
What we learned
Through this hackathon ,we are able to apply technical knowledge to solve real-world problems in the medical sector. We learned the working of Flask and were able to apply the knowledge to our website.
What's next for For You-Veersa Heath
We will use Distance Matrix API to map the distance of hospitals with the user location. And use it to map with satellite location to map traffic and output the time required to reach the hospital .
Integrate Pharmacies in the nearby location .
