Inspiration

Social Media platforms often censor sensitive issues and won't let people discuss the important issues that shape our society. Not only this, the information is scattered across pages and often seeking more information and asking questions is a hassle and turns into a night-long google search marathon. Furthermore, the algorithms made by social-media giants would promote issues that trend more, creating a bias for what actually matters.

This is how we come up with an idea for a platform made just for activists and the people who care about issues that 'matter' , to gain more knowledge about the problems by asking questions and answering other people who seek understanding.

What this project does

For The People is a knowledge sharing platform for activists, fighting on prevalent social issues of any kind. Its a platform where users can educate people on the current standing problems on our planet be it climate change or social evils. Users can create new topics and asks questions under those topics, this helps in depth coverage of an issue. Every question can be answered by multiple people helping us consider different views on not only one topic but all the aspects of it. It offers a user account system to keep track of your questions and answers and the calculates the impact you're making on the society.

Why this project is useful

For The People is a platform to educate people on change and help people discuss this change. Users can come here to engage in a knowledge sharing pursuit for more in depth coverage of the said change, without the burdens of censorship and "Algorithm Influence" of popular social media sites. This can serve as a stepping stone for your journey on seeing the truth.
