Prototype for FoodyLiaisons

Use Case

There's a lot of food wastage these days. There's a lot of food shortage these days. That's the whole premise of the project. Taking the use case of my country, India, which has a humongous population, there was a dire need for a plan like this to be put into action. Everyday we get food which almost always is surplus to our needs, with no option or alternative we end up throwing it away, sadly if I may add. Now a drawback of such a large population is that not everyone gets the same amount of required meals. While we waste away some people sleep empty stomached. Enter foodyLiaisons

It provides a mechanism for people to search for NGOs near their homes and contact them via our app. NGOs will then contact them back and collect food from them and provide them to those in need. The idea was to implement the app for public gatherings like weddings, parties, concerts where there's always a lot of leftover(fine) food. The app was also to be used for everyday leftover foods at homes and localities.

Steps to running the Source-

Just download the code-

1) npm install

2) node server.js OR npm start
