Inspiration
Thailand has a 'food waste' problem that hasn't been systematically addressed, even though there are still many people who need cheap or free food. We want to create a bridge connecting 'sellers who have leftover food' with 'consumers who need food' to help reduce waste and create benefits for the community.
What it does
FoodShare Thailand is a platform that connects stores or businesses with leftover food to people in the area who need food, through a chat system, product listings, and a map showing store locations. It includes a language toggle button to support both Thai people and foreigners.
How we built it
We use Bolt.new as the main tool for No-Code development using React, CSS, HTML, and TypeScript.
Challenges we ran into
This is the first time using AI to write all the code. It's both stressful and fun at the same time, and it's considered practice in using AI.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is the first project using AI without writing code by myself. I got to try new things that I've never used before. It's very good.
What we learned
I learned how to use AI very well and practiced writing prompts that can produce good results in many different ways.
What's next for FoodShare Thailand
-Improve the chat system to display real-time messages -Add a system for stores to set food expiration times -Add a notification system when there's food near me -Conduct marketing through local channels to make more people aware of the platform
