Inspiration

The idea for FoodShare was born out of our concern for the growing problems of food waste and food insecurity in our community. We were deeply moved by the staggering amount of edible food that goes to waste while many individuals struggle to access nutritious meals. Inspired by the power of technology to bring people together, we set out to create a platform that could bridge this gap and make a positive impact on both food distribution and hunger alleviation.

How we built it

FoodShare's front-end was built using HTML and CSS, keeping in mind responsiveness to ensure a seamless experience on various devices. We carefully designed the user interface, incorporating vibrant visuals and clear navigation to enhance the user experience. By utilizing CSS sprites, we optimized the loading of social media icons, making the app more efficient and faster for users.

What we learned

In this journey to create the FoodShare web app prototype, we were driven by our passion to contribute positively to society. Although this is just a prototype, we believe that it symbolizes the potential of technology to address real-world problems. Our dream is to see FoodShare expand and evolve, connecting communities, reducing food waste, and ensuring that no one goes hungry.

What's next for FoodShare

We are trying to launch it if we get any investments. Or we are ok to sell our ideas.
