Inspiration
About 40% of food produced, processed, and transported in the U.S. is wasted and ends up in our landfills. Wasted food is a drain on our natural resources, our wallets, and our communities. I believe the first step to take is to distribute unsold and extra food from supermarkets or restaurants to charities and community groups that need them.
What it does
Unsold food from restaurants and supermarkets is often thrown away and wasted, I believe we can make better use of that food by connecting these organizations to charities and community groups that need it. Ultimately, Food share connects restaurants and supermarkets with a surplus of food to charities and communities that need it

I built this website using visual studio
Challenges we ran into
This was my first time using html, javascript, and css so I was still unfamiliar with the functions and overall language
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Completing this website especially creating the sign up pop up
What's next for Food Share
The next step for this website is to use locations to best match restaurants or supermarkets to the closest community group or charity and set up a line of communication for the food pick up
