Indian Cuisine (one of the many cuisines we display)
Inspiration
Sometimes people are discriminated against for eating food outside the traditional culture of where they are. With this project, we want to show the diversity of different cultures and appreciation for different foods and make it the universal thing to connect upon.
What it does
Our project shows highlights and popular food from a variety of different cuisines with detailed descriptions about each food.
How we built it
We utilized HTML, CSS, and Javascript in our website and met on call numerous times to discuss and make the website.
Challenges we ran into
Trying to combine the various components of our web page was difficult. For example, the nav bar on our about page was messing up all the images present on the page, but we tried a variety of techniques to fix it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of all the CSS animations we added to enhance the aesthetic of our website.
What we learned
We learned that patience is key. Even if we fail on a component multiple times, we must continue and an answer will come eventually.
What's next for Foodly
We will add more cuisines and increase the variety of foods we have to promote more diversity and reach out to more people.
