Inspiration
We wanted to turn traditional restaurant menus into a digital interactive experience.
What it does
Allows users to search for food and find the best item in their area. Restaurants can also register and scan their menus to upload into the database. After that, users login to upvote or downvote each item they tried.
How we built it
We built this using MongoDB, Express in the back end with React and JavaScript in the front end.
Challenges we ran into
MongoDB location data uses a different longitude/latitude format than google maps which confused us for a few hours.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing up the MVP which includes authentication, upvote / downvote functionality, and taking pictures of menus through our app.
