Inspiration

We came up with this idea because we thought that it would be a good way for people to learn how to make dishes that they enjoyed in restaurants and other food establishments.

What it does

The app will take a photo of the desired food dish and it will then display the dish name along with a link to the recipe.

How we built it

We used Android Studio to make the app design which was implemented with IBM-Watson and Edamam-Nutrition. First, we would take a picture of the dish. After we would use the Watson to recognize the dish then, used Edamam-Nutrition to get a list of recipes for the dish.

What's next for Foodify

We would like to put it in the Google play store for people to use and give feedback on how we could improve the app.
