Inspiration

Me and my wife love trying new restaurants. The way that we find new places to eat can be greatly improved. This application is focused on connecting foodies with delicious local restaurants.

Challenges we ran into

I spent a few hours trying to implement supabase authentication. Unfortunately I was not able to get this working today. With NextJs 13 being in beta and so new, there are limited resources available. Hopefully, new documentation is released soon!

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am happy to have applied the new concepts that nextJs 13 has added in the new version. I believe that the changes that this version brings, especially the new app directory, and the 'server first' methodology is the future of web development.

What's next for foodie

Foodie is a project that I have wanted to start for a long time. As a full-time student, as well as working a full-time job it was hard to find a time to start. I am glad that today was the day.
