Inspiration

Food waste and hunger exist at the same time. While restaurants and homes throw away food, many people still struggle to find meals. At the same time, farmers lack access to simple tools for decision-making. This inspired us to build a solution that connects both problems into one platform.

What it does

FoodBridge is an AI-powered platform that helps reduce hunger and improve food security.

• Users can upload food images and instantly get food type, serving size, and nutrition details.
• The platform connects donors with nearby NGOs for quick food distribution.
• Farmers receive simple weather predictions and smart farming advice.
• The app supports Tamil language for better accessibility.

How we built it

We built FoodBridge using a simple and scalable approach:

• Image analysis for food detection
• Smart logic for estimating servings and recommendations
• Weather-based insights for farmers
• Clean UI with multilingual support (English + Tamil)
