Inspiration

We all love food, but we've all faced the same frustrating scenario: you have a specific craving—say, Pad See Ew—so you open Google Maps and type it in. The results? Often disappointing. You get a list of restaurants that might not even have the dish on the menu, just because one person five years ago left a comment saying, "I wish they had Pad See Ew here" or "Worst Pad See Ew ever."

Existing map apps search text blindly, without understanding context. We wanted to build something that actually understands the relationship between a dish and a restaurant. We wanted to answer the question: "Where is the best [specific food] near me right now?" with confidence, not just keyword matching.
