Inspiration
In my town, I have seen a lot of food are wasted during feasts time. Here, we have feasts during marriages, births, deaths and tons of food are wasted. Where as, thebeggars walk around in hunger. That's why I wanted to bridge the gap between excess and need.
What it does
Right now it's a simple website to explore this idea. Later I want to build a functional app on the basis of this idea. It works in 3 steps; Step 1: Post your surplus food on the platform. Step 2: A volunteer or NGO claims it. Step 3: Food is delivered to those in need.
How we built it
I built it using canva. I gained the data from Google and Chatgpt.
Challenges we ran into
I made the website on my phone. I have a very less technological experience, though I am willing to learn this every day. I am interested in technology, AI,computer, I will work hard to get best at it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I always wanted to work on this idea. Finally I am doing something about it. I am proud of this choice.
What we learned
I have learnt to make a website. And also understand the societal conditions about food wastage on one side where as hunger in other side.
What's next for FoodSaver Hub
I want to make a functional app with this idea and make this global to solve this problem globally.
