How Much Food Do We Waste Daily and Annually, Households, Supermarkets, etc.?
'Food Saver Go' app is a fun hackathon weekend project, application or solution to fight food waste with 'Uber-like' apps. It is an attempt to contribute towards the effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the Food & Beverage sector, from Carbon dioxide (CO2) to methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions.
By reducing greenhouse gas emissions, we are able to save the planet and save ourselves.

What it does
Food Saver Go is an app that helps local grocery stores, mini-markets or supermarkets, big or small, get rid of products that are close to their expiration date and provides consumers with the possibility of buying food at a fraction of the original price - food that would otherwise go to waste.
How I built it
I used the TomTom Android SDKs, Android Framework with Material Design, as well various web apps and services written in Angular, Node, React, and running on the Heroku cloud.

What's next for Food Saver Go
I have a lot on the roadmaps. This consists of features that will be driven into the minimum viable product for delivery to local stores. And local stores will be able to make the mobile client available to Android and iOS food consumers.
An example feature on the roadmap is the use of yubikey to strengthen the security of the app for both mobile consumers and application administrators from local businesses.
