Inspiration

We wanted to make something that would help us go through with some of our daily struggles, in this case, the problem statement was not knowing what to eat.

What it does

Basically there are 2 inputs from the users whereby we ask for a price range and dietary restriction, then recommend them food based on these 2 inputs.

How we built it

First we came up with our problem statement along with the solutions that will be implemented in the bot. For the coding itself, well it was a lot of googling...

Challenges we ran into

We're really new to Python so it really took us quite a bit of time to even come up with a basic working framework. Since our knowledge is limited, we couldn't go beyond and tackle current issues. We planned for alot of features but we realized that we were too ambitious, and had to cut down alot and simplify the telebot, which was a bummer since we would have liked more features for the bot.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The code worked at 2am in the morning and it sort of worked but not to the degree of what we discussed initially.

What we learned

Python is hard, and we were too ambitious given our current skills.

What's next for Food Recommendation Telebot

We will try putting more features like recommendation based on current location so it's easier for users. Of course we need to learn more about Python before actually trying this.
