Our inspiration was learning about how restaurants throw away food, and trying to figure out a solution to homeless folks not having enough food to survive.
Our app allows restaurants to partner with us to give us excess but good food, volunteers to sign up and drive the food around to homeless shelters, which will use the food to give to homeless people.
We built it using VSC, languages like HTML and Javascript, along with some CSS.
Challenges we ran into were the algorithm not working at the end, but we are sure to take a look at it.
We are proud of learning many new things about HTML, since none of us knew basically any website coding before this. We are also proud of the designing we did for the app (even thought it wasn't that good!)
We learned a lot about HTML and javascript throughout this hackathon, and we also learned that time management and planning a head is key.
We are planning on fixing the algorithm and trying to make this a real thing with partnering with restaurants and homeless shelters in the future in order to make Seattle a better place for everyone.
