Inspiration

This app was inspired by my personal experience with my university's free food market. While the food market is a wonderful resource for students, it's often difficult to stay updated on what's in stock, the latest shipment from the local food bank, and more. This app serves to directly communicate what resources are available to students and when they're available.

What it does

This app allows the student to browse the current food market selection, to determine if anything suits their needs. Additionally, the app prepares new and interesting recipes using the food market ingredients. Most importantly, the student is informed about the food market's hours of operation, which often change due to the shipments from the local food bank.

How we built it

Initially, I determined the most important features the app needed to have and then created various simple illustrations of possible app layouts. Once I determined the final layout, I prototyped the app using Figma.
