User Interface

-Inspiration: We saw a project where people could find location spots based on specific criteria that were listed such as type of place, temperature, and how long of a flight.

-What our submission does: Our project allows a user to choose a restaurant based on price range, the distance of how far the restaurant is, and what kind of setting they would like such as takeout, delivery, or dine in.

-How we built it: We built this project using JavaScript, React, and the Chakra UI

-Challenges we ran into, and how you overcame them: Only half of the group was familiar with JavaScript while the other half of the group were novice programmers, we overcame this by having the novice programmers try to catch up to speed with the other half of the team that were familiar with JavaScript by watching tutorials on YouTube and other sources. One challenge we ran into was designing the layout of the UI, we had one team member share their screen and work out a sketch of the layout while the other members actively gave feedback on what could be improve so that we were able to reach an agreement on how the UI will look Another challenge we faced was trying to get an API with the limited amount of time we have

-Accomplishments that we are proud of : We were able to figure out how to use Chakra UI with React. The workshop about the Basics of React gave us an insight on how we wanted to approach our project utilizing React. We were able to customize our UI close to how we wanted.

-Whats next for our product: Properly utilizing an API and adding functionality
