Inspiration
We were inspired to make this project when we saw restaurants throwing out unused food at the end of the day after using so many resources to make it.
What it does
Our project provides a way to connect people who need food and people who have leftover food, so we can help them and prevent food waste.
How we built it
We used HTML/CSS on replit.com.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge we ran into was not being able to figure out what was wrong with our code when it wasn't up to our standards, especially when positioning images. Our mentors helped us solve this problem.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of completing our website and having the entire project come together well.
What we learned
We learned a lot of new coding techniques and improved our collaboration skills with each other.
What's next for Food for Thought
We want to expand Food for Thought and bring it to different restaurants across California so more people can access it.
