I volunteered in several homeless shelters in my community and I found that often times, members of the homeless population were turned away at restaurants and fast food chains even though they may have had the money to pay for their meal.

What it does

This app provides a map for participating restaurants that want to help the homeless by providing free/low-cost food.

How I built it

Square API, Google Maps API, Javascript

Challenges I ran into

We couldn't figure what was going wrong with our API key for the first 18 hours of the hackathon.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We were able to get our map working finally!

What I learned

I originally knew a bit of Java from an intro course, but I got the chance to dive deep into Javascript

What's next for Food for All Kind

We want to implement a new map for educational resources.
