We were inspired by Akinator.
What it does
Helps you figure out what to eat in Chapel Hill. Too many times have I deliberated with friends for half an hour just to figure out where to go. Now have fun while figuring it out!
How we built it
We used a combination of react and supabase to create a site that tries help you decide where you want to eat.
Challenges we ran into
A couple of the challenges we ran into was learning the react framework, connecting our database to the site, and properly combining components into pages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of ourselves for being able to create a full website and hosting it with very minimal experience, and having an algorithm that searches a database for the best restaurants.
What we learned
Do not let your commits get messy because those merge conflicts will not be pretty.
What's next for Food Finder
We plan on implementing an input for location so you can find restaurants wherever in the world instead of just in Chapel Hill.
