Food is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, and many people struggle with keeping track of their eating habits.
Food Diary is keeping track of the calorie intake throughout a longer period of time, allowing the user to set goals in regards to her weight. Therefore the user needs to tell Food Diary some basic information about herself before setting a goal for a specific time frame. The user will check in with Food Diary after each meal, documenting what she has been eaten. Food Diary will count all calories of the documented meals and will inform the user, if she is on track with her goal.
For the prototype we are focusing on the onboarding, creating a user profile including weight, height, age, gender and level of activity. We also prototyped a check in moment, where a meal is documented, and Food Diary will give an update on how the user is doing.

In the future Food Diary could also provide the user recipes based on their health goals. Furthermore it could recognize nutrition patterns like bad food habits and help the user by providing healthier alternatives.
