Inspiration

My inspiration is to create a forum type website to help people easily locate local food resources.

What it does

The website is able to have users create posts regarding local food drives, question regarding food banks and all sorts of other questions. The website also includes a community map where people will be able to add local food resources and their contact information, so that people can more easily access them.

How I built it

I used html css and javascript and Google Maps API to build the website.

Challenges I ran into

Adding a post feature, and hiding the add post button.

What's next for Food Connect

With more people joining the website and adding posts, more people will be able to easily access resources, and organize community events to assist those in need of food resources.
