Inspiration

The inspiration came to me when I was about to participate in my first ever Hackathon. Seeing the faces of my competitors , I knew I have a bigger part in the picture. That's when i saw the unavailability of pages on the internet that provided millions of authentic India specific recipes with a bit of western influence to it .. πŸ˜‰ keeping things .. let's just say .. SPICY !!!

What it does

Forget about the hustle of scrolling the web and videos for getting the recipes of what you want to make and getting confused among millions of videos... It provides you the perfect noob friendly recipe (and i know it's noob friendly cuz I'm noob and I made it.... πŸ₯² (poor joke ))

How I built it

I Used HTML , CSS and Javascript and it is a Front-End Focused site.

Challenges I ran into

The main challenge for me was to link the pages together. As i had taken a few udemy courses which explained it in brief but never actually tried it. The second challenge was that .. it wouldn't fit perfectly for different device model with different screen size , and last but the biggest challenge was.. after hosting it on Github , the images used for to display different images for products bugged as the page is compact and everything was scaled beforehand.it took me a lot of tweaking with the image resolution , for the page to not be asymmetrical

Accomplishments that i'm proud of

Built a multiple page system The page stencil created during the project can be used in the future to easily add new dishes and can be pushed to the Github repo updating the site with any number of pages we want to add Got a pretty clear idea of front end web development as I've just learned about this field .. during my freshman year. Honestly , making it inspired me to become a Full-stack developer.

What i've learned

The use of HTML , CSS , design ideas for a website layout , JavaScript , Hosting a site , uses of Github and the version control system of git.

What's next for Food Coders

There's always something to learn right ?!! .. what's next for me is .. that i plan on implementing api's in the site to make it more user interactive. Learn to use Database and all the other aspects of backend development... make good use of it , deploy the site to a .com domain , monetize it and keep adding more freshly brewed contentπŸ™‚.
