Inspiration:
Ronald Ekambi and Start Up Club were my Inspiration. These are the factors that pushed me to understand the fact that I can do it. The Inspiration for this application was the basic fact " I don't know what festivals take place in Ottawa, when and where? I miss out so much"
What it does :
The Business model we created is to build an application that serves a lot of purposes. We used the data file "http://data.ottawa.ca/data set/street-food-vendors" - A listing of the successful applicants to the City’s new Street Food Vending program.
How I built it:
We presented out our idea through a Business model. Every team member was given a specific part to do. We got connected with each other through Facebook, created a group, worked on our parts, forwarded/shared the files and talked out the changes we can make. It was FUN !!!
Challenges I ran into:
Time-Limit, Team Members have work- assignments etc. still everybody took out time to be a part of this Project. How to earn money with this app?, setting up meeting time etc.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of:
Learn new things, Discover inner-selves/ talents, what we could actual do in a limited period of time.
What I learned:
Brainstorming is an awesome thing. People realize your potential and you learn what ideas others have. Communication & Networking always helps!
What's next for Food A' Fest: A future! :)
When Implemented it will be a great success. It will help people to try awesome things, this idea can exceed it's boundaries of success if implemented . It can be a new social media of people visiting places-sharing their pictures, vendors getting good business. People posting their private and public events. It's a great tool to connect.
