Inspiration

We were working on our robotic arm and thought what if instead of manually setting the angles for movement, we just make it follow us, like our hands, and thats where the follower robot idea started.

What it does

Essentially it uses a ping sensor in combination with all our servo bots to follow any hand that goes towards or away from it.

How we built it

We used servo motors, robotic arm made from cad, and a ping sensor, then coded/wired everything up

Challenges we ran into

We had two defective servo motors so we had to go find others and also the code was a pain. Also we fried a board cause we forgot to unplug the power supply.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the fact our power supply step down actually worked and the ping sensor actually follows our hand

What we learned

We learned how to wire everything current without shorting stuff and we learn how to code the arduino.

What's next for Follower Robot

Next up we are going to add a swindle base so we can get omni-drectional movement.
