Inspiration
I wanted to make something quick to learn and hard to put down, the kind of game you play that makes you go "let me try one more challenge". Memory games already have that pull, so I added a chase mechanic to make it feel tense instead of calm.
What it does
A path flashes on the grid, you memorize it, then retrace it exactly. Mess up and an enemy starts closing in. New challenge daily, neon style look.
How we built it
Built with Phaser for the game itself, running inside Reddit as an interactive post.
Challenges we ran into
figuring out how to set up a game in reddit
Accomplishments that we're proud of
built and shipped solo during the hackathon in just few days
What we learned
how reddit game development work, balancing short time
What's next for follow-path
Leaderboards, more enemy types, maybe weekly themed challenges, and also a completely new Ui, i have something really cool i want to try
