The ProblemRight now, VR architectural tours are lonely and confusing. Only one person wears the headset while everyone else sits around staring at a flat tablet screen. On top of that, older adults or beginners often get frustrated and anxious trying to figure out messy menus, complex hand gestures, and clunky VR controllers. They spend more energy fighting the technology than actually looking at the design of the building. The SolutionFolioXR turns these walkthroughs into a shared, stress-free group experience using Meta Quest 3 headsets. An architect or presenter guides the tour using natural hand movements, while multiple clients join the exact same virtual space to explore together in real time.

To completely remove the "tech anxiety," the project introduces a clever two-mode system: Observation Mode (For Beginners): Users put the headset on and just enjoy the tour. They can look around and talk, but they can't accidentally click the wrong thing, delete a wall, or mess up the simulation.

Collaboration Mode (For Hands-On exploring): Once users feel comfortable, the presenter can unlock the system so everyone can wander independently, toggle design layers on or off, and actively discuss choices. The Safety NetIf a user ever gets lost or disoriented in the virtual rooms, there is a massive, permanent "Follow Presenter" button pinned to their view. One click instantly snaps them back to the guide's exact location so they never feel stranded. Ultimately, it takes the intimidation out of Virtual Reality so that anyone regardless of age or tech experience can confidently step into and review a future property design.
