Inspiration

Living in Pakistan, winter fog is not just an inconvenience — it's a serious safety hazard. Every year, hundreds of accidents happen on motorways and roads because drivers simply cannot see what's ahead. I wanted to build something that could help real people stay safe in these dangerous conditions.

What it does

FogSafe AI** is a real-time web application that:

• 📸 Accesses your device camera and enhances the live feed for foggy conditions
• 🔆 Applies AI-powered brightness, contrast, and dehaze filters
• 🚗 Detects and highlights cars and pedestrians with colored bounding boxes
• 📊 Shows a live Fog Intensity Meter with estimated visibility distance
• 🆘 Includes an SOS button that instantly shares your GPS location in emergencies
• 🔔 Plays alert sounds when objects are detected nearby

How we built it

I built FogSafe AI entirely using MeDo — an AI-powered full-stack app builder. I described the app in natural language, and MeDo generated the complete application including the camera interface, image processing filters, object detection overlays, and the SOS functionality. No manual coding required!

Challenges we ran into

Designing an intuitive UI that works well on mobile browsers in low-light conditions

• Making the fog enhancement filters work in real-time without lag
• Ensuring the SOS GPS feature works across different mobile browsers ## Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we learned

I learned how powerful AI-assisted development can be. What would normally take weeks of coding was built in hours using MeDo's conversational interface. I also learned about real-time image processing and how visibility enhancement works.

What's next for FogSafe AI
