Inspiration

Creators don’t fail because of a lack of ideas — they fail because of execution paralysis. I noticed that most productivity tools are either overwhelming task managers or generic AI chatbots. None of them are designed specifically to turn creative intent into structured, time-bound execution.

FocusForge AI was inspired by the need for a minimalist “Execution OS” — a system that forces clarity, focus, and measurable progress through small, timed work blocks.

What it does

FocusForge AI transforms vague goals into structured 25-minute execution blocks.

Core loop:

Generate 3 AI-powered execution tasks

Select one focused sprint

Complete a 25-minute deep work session

Reflect and update execution score

Key features:

Daily AI-generated execution blocks

25-minute deep work timer

Execution Score (0–100)

Weekly analytics dashboard

Shareable progress report

Free tier with scarcity model

Premium unlock via RevenueCat subscriptions

It is not a chat app. It is a structured execution engine.

How we built it

FocusForge AI was built using:

Expo + React Native (TypeScript)

Zustand for global state management

AsyncStorage for persistence

xAI Grok API for intelligent task generation

RevenueCat for subscription handling

Clean modular architecture separating:

AI service layer

Billing layer

State layer

UI layer

The monetization system uses:

Entitlement-based gating

Premium-only analytics

Feature comparison paywall

Restore purchases flow

The design follows a minimalist “Monk Mode” aesthetic with dark mode support and haptic feedback.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was integrating subscription logic in a clean, scalable way while maintaining a smooth UX.

Key technical challenges:

Managing entitlement synchronization on app launch

Handling offline AI fallbacks

Designing free-tier scarcity without breaking habit formation

Structuring RevenueCat integration without over-coupling billing to UI

We also had to design the system so it remains functional even without store validation during development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a fully functional execution scoring system

Created a psychologically optimized paywall

Designed a structured AI execution loop (not generic chat)

Implemented premium gating cleanly using RevenueCat entitlements

Achieved a production-ready, modular architecture

Delivered a complete MVP within hackathon timeframe

What we learned

We learned that:

AI is most powerful when constrained to a specific workflow.

Monetization works better when tied to identity and progress.

Clean architecture early prevents chaos later.

Subscription logic must be treated as infrastructure, not a feature.

We also gained deep insight into mobile billing flows and entitlement-based access control.

What's next for FocusForge AI – Creator Execution OS

Next steps include:

Full Google Play subscription validation

Social leaderboard for creators

Advanced analytics trends

Web dashboard companion

AI adaptive difficulty (dynamic task intensity)

Community execution challenges

The long-term vision is to evolve FocusForge into the default execution layer for independent creators.
