Inspiration
As students, we often face last-minute exam stress because we don’t plan properly. Deadlines pile up, subjects feel overwhelming, and time management becomes difficult. We wanted to create a simple tool that helps students stay organized and study with clarity instead of panic.
What it does
FocusFlow is a web-based study planner that helps students: -Add subjects and exam dates -Create daily study tasks -Track completed work -Monitor overall progress It turns unorganized study habits into a clear and structured daily plan.
How we built it
We built FocusFlow as a simple web application using: -HTML for structure -CSS for styling and clean UI -JavaScript for functionality (adding tasks, tracking progress, generating daily plans) We focused on making the interface simple, responsive, and easy to use for beginners.
Challenges we ran into
-Designing a clean UI without making it complicated -Managing task data dynamically using JavaScript -Ensuring the daily plan logic worked correctly -Staying focused on simplicity instead of adding unnecessary features -Time management during the hackathon was also a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully building a fully functional study planner within the hackathon timeframe Creating a simple but meaningful solution to a real student problem Designing a clean and beginner-friendly interface Completing and documenting the project clearly
What we learned
How to plan and structure a project from idea to execution Improving our JavaScript logic and problem-solving skills The importance of simplicity and usability in real-world applications Better teamwork and time management
What's next for FocusFlow
In the future, we plan to: Add reminders and notifications Include smart auto-scheduling based on exam priority Add data saving with local storage or database integration Improve UI with more interactive elements
