Inspiration
Most AR applications suffer from interface clutter, turning smart eyewear into a floating web browser that obstructs the natural field of view. FocusFlow was inspired by the need for practical, non-intrusive productivity tooling designed specifically for smart eyewear.
What it does
FocusFlow provides minimalist, low-latency micro-guidance and focus tracking directly in the user's peripheral vision. It uses normalized safe bounds to keep the central field of view completely clear while delivering ambient progress ticks and gentle task prompts.
How we built it
We leveraged an autonomous agentic pipeline using Relevance AI to architect structural YAML configuration files, defining normalized display boundaries, dynamic brightness scaling, and peripheral UI element positioning. The code is version-controlled in a dedicated public GitHub repository (Learn-AR-with-SPECS).
Challenges we ran into
Balancing visibility and minimalism so that utility components provide value without introducing cognitive fatigue or blocking real-world movement.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully building a clean, agent-driven configuration spec for smart eyewear display bounds without cluttering the user's natural line of sight.
What we learned
How to architect effective spatial UI layers that respect hardware constraints and leverage agent-driven pipelines for rapid layout generation.
Who it's for
Designed for spatial computing users, developers, and professionals who need streamlined, glanceable information without digital clutter or cognitive fatigue.
What's next for FocusFlow
Expanding the behavioral logic scripts and adding interactive state triggers to handle dynamic task transitions seamlessly.
