Inspiration

My teammate and I kept getting distracted while “just looking something up.” You open YouTube for a lecture and end up on a comedy clip. You check Reddit for sources and land in memes. These micro-detours snowball into 20–40 minute rabbit holes. We wanted a tool that understands what user is trying to do and help user to focus.

What it does

A playful AI chrome extension that detects distracting web pages in real time so you stay on task.

The extension lets you enter a natural-language Goal. The extension will monitors pages you open and detects off-task distractions web page in real time.

How we built it

We built it with javascript, css, and html. The final product is a chrome extension. We use Gemini AI to build this product.

Challenges we ran into

We got no API credit. Have to use Google free API tier.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud of the high accuracy of our detection model. Despite the technical challenges, our internal testing showed that our solution could successfully identify and flag over 99% of clearly distracting web pages.
