Inspiration

Missing out on study-abroad opportunities inspired me to build this simple web app. With the amount of time in front of a laptop, I wanted to make use of the hours and learn about what there is to visit while being at home.

What it does

Users can pick a departure and destination flight for a journey of their dreams. With the powerful supersonic Concorde, the time till destination can be manually set witseveralof breaks. For each break, the user will be reminded to stretch while learning about the historical landmarks they've flown over. Gemini will produce a synthesized visualization of the landmark along with a summary.

How we built it

Utilizing Gemini AI Studio allowed the foundational implementation of making the idea become a reality. Project runs fully on Typescript and html along with Gemini 3's API.

Challenges we ran into

Prompting Gemini Studio with only words that led to designing and sketching ideas for the concept of a flight tracker.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Seeing the real potential of Gemini Studio in how it can interpret user prompts, including words, sketches, and visual examples.

What we learned

Letting Gemini lead the charge with coming up with ideas and features that could be added to enhance the experience with Google Maps data.

What's next for Focus Flight

Making the project more immersive with first person persepective.
