Inspiration
Tu tiempo es limitado, tu potencial no Nowadays with the quick and easy access to internet. People around the world face challenges to focus. We decided to improve the Focus Apps. Most people doesn't like the existing app because functions are limited to a timer, fullscreen and an app blocking service. These doesn´t ensure you are really focused.
What it does
Our App has a different approach to help you achieve your goals. We enhance your camera with Presage, to measure vital signs, expressions and mood to feed a ML model so it can measure your concentration level. Whenever the user gets distracted a signal is triggered to reproduce a user specific audio. The program is designed to adapt to the user: with brief description of the tasks, personality of the user and collected data; the sotware is able to learns from the user to make it feel more confortable so it learns to provide the conditions you need to concentrate. This program is based on your needs.
How we built it
- The ML model is a pretrained neural network with initial simulated data. Trained with Vultr.
- Use of Gemini API for user guided tips, extracts and diagnostics.
- Use of elevenlabs API to create a more confortable user-friendly app with the wide variety of voices and sound effects.
Challenges we ran into
- Presage has no Windows SDK
- Wolfram is difficult to integrate in applications that interact with the hardware
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We got "gemini tools" working for more powerful prompting
What's next for Focal Point
With more time this heavy and unoptimized software could become a non disturbing task for the CPU, allowing it to use less resources, increasing its efficiency. More important data could be add to the model so it can be tracked to measure the effect on the user. Some examples could be: ambient temperature, noise, sleep schedules, etc. IoT technologies have grown exponentially in recent years. Allowing any software to interact with other devices. As an example, imagine your desk setup with smart lights that adjust it's intensity based on your room conditions.
