Inspiration
Choosing a concentration is difficult, and we want it to be easy and accessible for students at Brown so they can have a supportive process.
What it does
Focal Point @ Brown helps students figure out their concentrations in an easy manner. Without having to deal with all the technical issues, students can now freely navigate between different concentrations and compare them.
How we built it
After performing a user study on students at Brown, we designed and built the application off of a React framework.
Challenges we ran into
It was challenging to source all of the necessary concentration information and to get it all in one place so we could parse the information on behalf of users.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created something that is user-friendly that we, and the broader Brown community, can use!
