Inspiration

The idea for FMemini was inspired by the need to simplify life by seamlessly managing schedules and providing quick, intelligent responses. We envisioned an AI assistant that combines functionality and convenience to help users stay organized while also answering their queries and offering helpful tips.

What it does

FMemini sets reminders directly in Google Calendar when prompted by the user and provides insightful answers to questions, along with practical tips to enhance productivity.

How we built it

We want utilize pre-trained NLU models for intent recognition and entity extraction, integrated the Google Calendar API for scheduling tasks, and develop a robust backend to handle user requests efficiently. The interface was designed to facilitate intuitive interactions and ensure ease of use.

Challenges we ran into

Fine-tuning the NLU engine to accurately detect diverse user intents was challenging. Real-time synchronization with Google Calendar required rigorous error handling, and ensuring a balance between advanced functionality and simplicity demanded iterative design and testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created an AI assistant that provides reliable scheduling and insightful responses. Overcoming technical hurdles to ensure seamless operation and delivering a user-friendly experience are achievements we're proud of.

What we learned

We gained valuable experience in natural language understanding, API integration, and designing user-centric AI solutions. Additionally, we learned how to tackle real-world challenges and refine our approach through continuous iteration.

We plan to expand FMemini’s capabilities by integrating with more productivity tools, adding voice recognition, and enhancing personalization features. Future updates will aim to make FMemini even more intelligent and versatile for users.
