FlynnsArcade
Competition and learning new things inspired us to make our project. We learned how to animate objects and have them move on a screen while also using the object's data to make use of collision detection. We built our project using the Eclipse IDE and many built in JavaFX libraries. Challenges we faced included a few minor bugs where hit detection wouldn't register properly for the edges of the map. We also ran into issues trying to use Scene Builder to make proper scenes for our start menu and end game screen. We plan on improving our existing project to complete the vision we initially had for our game.
Description: Our game is a 2-D multiplayer game where each player controls a snake-like object. The objective is for each player to eliminate each other. The last one standing is the winner. The rules include moving in any direction except for backwards. You are eliminated if you touch another player's trail, the edge of the board or yourself. The players start the game and immediately jump into the map. Once a player wins, they are met with a end game screen showing who wins.
