Inspiration

I have had this idea for a while but never actually got around to building it so I thought it would be a good time to give it a go.

What it does

It is a flying raspberry pi web server. It can be configured any way you want. As a proof of concept I was able to transfer files to and from the pi while in flight using ssh

How we built it

3d printed the custom case to allow it to attach. Configured the server using an instructables tutorial. Attached the battery and let it fly

Challenges we ran into

connecting the go pro mounts

Accomplishments that we're proud of

That the drone got off the ground, that the makerbot could print without supports for the massive overhang and that we could keep it connected to wifi while in flight.

What we learned

I can come to a hackathon and make something amazing without writing a single line of code.

What's next for Flying web server

I will try to do a similar project with an android phone so that the server and the battery are self contained
