Inspiration

At first, me and my teammate Ahmed, were clueless in what we were going to do. We went from trying to make a spotify wrapped, to making a 4d snake game, to a discord bot. Just many ideas. But for dinner, we decided to go to C3 a buffet at University at Buffalo and on the walk there, we see this kid on a small phone. Ahmed unknowingly made the joke, why he's using an iPod. We chuckled and then started talking about technology back then. I started talking about the games we use to play and I remembered the one game that disappeared. Flappy Bird. It was a simple but fun game that brought enjoyment to people across the world. But we wanted to be unique, we thought, what if we made a flappy bird game out of us. Then the idea flourished through our mind.

What it does

Fly your face is identical to flappy bird, but with any image you want portrayed on it the bird could be a picture of you, while the background could be a picture of an ocean. Anything that you want, its the users game, and the users own mini world.

How we built it

We used Visual studio and python to code it.

Challenges we ran into

It was really hard to get it to look like it was actual falling. It took a long time to figure out how to code that.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of getting this finished. While not really knowing how to use these new softwares, trying many things, I'm glad we never gave up because it was a very valuable experience.

What we learned

We learned that CSE115 isn't anything compared to real life coding. There was such a variety of coding applications and softwares that we didn't know. Now that we have exposed ourselves to these different softwares, we can continue to experiment with them growing as software engineers.

What's next for Fly Your Face(FYF)

We want it to add more features to this software and go further making it into an app on IOS.
