Inspiration
This project was meant to make people's travel easier. Everyone is locked down, with the pandemic, it's a small step in finding the next journey.
What it does
It allows people to book their flight between 5 major US cities, Boston, new york, LA, Houston, Chicago
How we built it
We referred the Dasha SDK, and figured out a way to integrate the flight api. This allowed us to query a aggregator website, to find flights easily and conveniently between locations.
Challenges we ran into
Javascript was a completely something new for me, hence had some initial hurdles. Also the DSL is not written in Javascript, hence got confusing. Something that is especially easy to miss, is that the phrase map needs to have the phrases defined in macros as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A basic end to end completion of the flow. This is a prototype, of something that can be extended in many ways. We were able to call and external api, and receive the values for it.
What we learned
Voice recognition, training of data, problem solving, thinking outside the box. Domain specific language, Different words and concepts of Entities, intents, and context.
What's next for Fly Me Natia
Making a web of flows, that is not a back and forth question, rather something that can tag parts of the conversation. Also an ability to be on the same conversation point, and accept user input/feedback.
