Inspiration

Electric vehicles have become the buzzword of today's world. With the Windsor region attracting huge investments in this domain, this problem has become all the more exciting.

What it does

This project helps find the most suited locations to set up new charging stations. The optimization process is carried out using Artificial Intelligence (Genetic Algorithm)

How we built it

This was built using multiple technologies: Angular, Flask, Python, Typescript, HTML, CSS

Challenges we ran into

Using Google Maps and leaflet APIs to represent the locations on an embedded map

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was able to complete the project on time and was able to create a beautiful and friendly UI. I was able to implement the genetic algorithm.

What we learned

Refreshed concepts on angular and flask, learned about the different opensource map APIs present, increased knowledge of git and python.

What's next for Fly-Charge

I plan to make the algorithm more optimized and generalize it to other use-cases as well like finding the best location for hospitals and restaurants.
