Inspiration

The theme was attraction so we combined all our ideas and came up with a mini platformer about a venturing magnet.

What it does

Use left and right arrow keys to move Up arrow to jump Hold shift to go faster Press "R" to restart (DONT USE IN INTRO FOR IT WILL BREAK)

How we built it

The 3 of us all had different roles. Sophie mainly coded and created most of the levels and cutscenes, Marvis created sounds and music for the game, and Jessica created assets and designed.

Challenges we ran into

The greatest challenge was that the team was assembled a day into the game jam and it doesn't seem like much time but that was 1/7th of the entire jam and we just had a bunch of trouble with time management and took us till the 17th to figure out what we were going to do.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of level 3 because this was my first time using Gamemaker and I had watched a bunch of sara's tutorials. It's buggy and the design was bad, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

What we learned

I learned more about gamemaker and gml.

What's next for FluxField

perhaps fixing bugs, adding more detail, creating a meaningful story, and adding more levels. There are some stage gimmicks we wanted to add but there wasn't enough time unfortunately.
