Inspiration

The idea for FluxSpectra came from seeing how slow and tiring manual visual inspection can be. Whether it’s checking machines in factories, finding cracks in bridges, or spotting small environmental changes, humans often miss tiny details. We wanted to create something that could make this process faster, easier, and more accurate using AI.

What It Does

FluxSpectra is an AI-based system that finds and shows changes between images taken at different times. It creates simple heatmaps that highlight changes, adds clear labels, and generates easy-to-understand reports. It can be used in many areas like manufacturing, infrastructure monitoring, environmental tracking, and brand compliance.

How We Built It

We collected sample image data from different sources like drones, CCTV cameras, and public datasets. Then, we built a hybrid AI model using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to detect image details and Transformers to understand time-based changes.
After training, we connected it to a dashboard that displays the results through clear visuals and heatmaps. We also made sure it could run both on the cloud and on edge devices for real-time use.

Challenges We Faced

Getting the right datasets was tough because we needed images taken over time under similar lighting and conditions. Training the hybrid AI model took a lot of time and computing power. We also faced challenges balancing accuracy and speed. Making the dashboard simple but informative was another major challenge.

Accomplishments We’re Proud Of

We successfully built a working AI system that detects very small visual changes. The results are clear, accurate, and easy to interpret. Our biggest achievement is proving that AI-powered change detection can save time, reduce errors, and help industries make better decisions faster.

What We Learned

We learned how AI and image processing can work together to solve real-world problems. We gained hands-on experience with CNNs, Transformers, and data optimization. We also learned how important it is to focus on the user experience—not just the algorithm.

What’s Next for FluxSpectra

Next, we plan to train on larger and more diverse datasets to improve accuracy. We’ll add automatic alert systems and more analytics tools to the dashboard. Our long-term goal is to turn FluxSpectra into a complete platform for real-time visual monitoring across different industries.
