Inspiration

Tech Enthusiast needed to test and apply my skills in problem solving using automation.

What it does

This butler listens to a chip installed inside the septic tank and alert the user whenever an overflow is detected.

How we built it

UI was in flutter, the backend in serverpod which is a dart framework for backend and hosted it on serverpod console to store data.

Challenges we ran into

Deploying the code to serverpod was quite tough but with the help of AI agents i managed to see it through.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Managed to build a full-stack app using only dart and deployed it, in less than a week.

What we learned

Building with serverpod for backend saves time when working with flutter and serverpod is more stable than i assumed before this hackathon.

What's next for Flutter Butler Hackathon

With sufficient funding those chips can be acquired installed in Nairobi septic tanks and landlords given the app to monitor which will improve city's hygiene.
